  • Do you have set office hours?

No. Because of our individual requirements, we do not have set office hours. However, we strive to make sure there is someone available between 9am-5pm, Mon-Fri. Of course there are times where you will have to call back or leave a message on our voicemail, but we always get back to you as soon as we can. In addition, there is almost always at least one person in the office between 5pm-9pm, Mon-Fri and varying hours on Sat.

Life Insurance

______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

  • Do I really need Life Insurance?

For most people, the answer is YES! Life insurance provides protection against unforseen death and the burden of outstanding debt that is then placed on the surviving family members. Life insurance can cover outstanding mortgages, student loans, credit card debt & auto loans as well as provide replacement income, college funds and at the very least cover your final expenses.

  • What is the BEST type of Life insurance?

That depends entirely on your specific situation. Each type of Life insurance, (Whole Life, Term, Universal), serves different purposes with different benefits and negatives. An evaluation of your situation, needs, goals and budget is the BEST way to determine which type is BEST for you.

  • Why can't I just search on the internet for quotes and buy my life insurance there?

Of course, this is always an option, but rarely a good one. Each situation is different and each company is different. Some companies offer additional benefits to their policies that make them more suitable for some and less suitable for others. Also, just choosing by price or the company whose name you recognize can actually cause problems in certain situations. Taking the time to consult an agent will help you determine the best company and the best type of policy for your individual circumstances.

  • What is Obamacare?

Obamacare is the colloquial name for the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, commonly called the Affordable Care Act (ACA). It is a federal statute that was signed into law on March 23, 2010. The ACA was enacted to restructure and improve the quality of health care and the affordability of health insurance. For more detailed information, please click here.

  • Do I need to buy insurance from the Marketplace (Healthcare.gov)?

Each person's situation is different. While some people will benefit from purchasing a plan through the Marketplace, others have other options such as Medicaid, CHIP, Employer sponsored health insurance, Retiree health insurance, and Medicare. We suggest speaking with a licensed insurance agent that you trust to be knowledgeable of the ACA regulations so that he/she can help you determine what option will be in your best interest.

  • Will I pay a penalty for not having health insurance?

Each situation is different. For some people, there will be a penalty if they do not have health insurance. However, there are a number of situations where a penalty will not be applied. Please visit our ACA-Medical Insurance page for more information on Tax Penalties for not having health insurance.

  • Is there another option to get Marketplace coverage so I don't have to use Healthcare.gov?

Currently, we are using a CMS (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services) approved website that allows you to purchase a health insurance plan through the Marketplace without using Healthcare.gov. You still get to look at plan options, apply for a tax credit and cost sharing reductions, but through a more streamlined process.

  • Where can I find more information about Obamacare?

Please visit our ACA-Medical Insurance page to find helpful links and information about the Affordable Care Act.

  • Can you help me choose a health insurance plan?

Yes, we have a licensed insurance agent that will help you choose and apply for a plan. Please visit our ACA-Enrollment Info page for more information.
