While updating Medicare cards is a good move, it isn't without its risks. The process of replacing existing cards is giving scammers a new opportunity to reach out and attack our Seniors. Please remember that the new cards are being sent out automatically, so they require no effort on the part of the current Medicare beneficiary. Also, they are FREE, which means you do not need to pay for them. Bottom line...DO NOT provide any information if someone shows up at your door or calls you about your Medicare card. Just take note of the phone number (if you have caller ID), and Hang up!
